Details of this week's subtitled films across the North East are provided courtesy of Gateshead libraries Click Here. See website below for current film updates.

The numbers of films that are screened with subtitles tend to be limited. However, if you do want to find out whether your local cinema is screening a subtitled film, log onto to find out more information.

Loop Systems

Many cinemas advertise loop systems, but again you may find that this is only made available for a small number of shows a week.  There are also instances of loop systems being faulty or claims made erroneously on their availability.  At the present time, we have no complete list of cinemas with loop systems but if its important to your listening experience, it would be best to check this out yourself before you book your tickets.

Audio Described

Log onto for local cinemas with audio description, ideally for people with visual difficulties and could request for a headphone or portable loop system.
