Volunteers needed.
Would you like to try out WordWatch Glasses. Volunteers needed to try out WordWatch glasses at the Gateshead Metro Centre Odeon .
Hi this is Deaflink. I hope you’re all well. I’m just asking if anybody would like to volunteer to come along to the Odeon cinema at the Metro Centre. If you’re interested in trying the new subtitle glasses, and want to volunteer and book your place. Contact me via, text or WhatsApp.
Once you are booked, come along on the Thursday the 19th of March at 10 o’clock and we will meet at Costa coffee near the cinema. We can all meet there and then go into the cinema together to try the new glasses if you’re interested in going, please let me know.
WatchWord displays closed-captions directly into the user’s line of sight through augmented reality smart glasses, allowing the user to remain focused on the film. For glasses wearers, these smart captioning glasses can be worn over glasses and can also be used alongside hearing aids or a cochlear implant processor. WatchWord captioning glasses also have an adjustable nosepiece to provide optimal comfort for the wearer.
Please see details below and contact admin@deaflink.org.uk if you would like to participate.
